Town of Bedford, NH

Located just south of Manchester on the west bank of the Merrimack River, Bedford is a wonderful place to live. Even though it is located next to one of New Hampshire's largest cities, Bedford still retains a distinctive rural feel. Bedford covers about 33 square miles of land and has a population of 20,480 people (2004 census estimate).

One of the factors that has always attracted people to live in Bedford is the quality of its schools. Another factor is its low property taxes relative to the surrounding towns.
